Our Mentor Programme
An important part of the students learning experience is the guidance and expertise offered by professional mentors. A core part of the BTEC is the development of the student as an individual, able to work successfully within a team as well as developing a confident and creative young person able to be self reflective and independent.
Your role as mentor is to support them on this journey, suggesting possible routes of research, identifying areas of importance and leading the group to produce a section of the policy that will have real impact on the school and local community.
Your support is vital to the deeper learning experience of the students and we are very grateful for your time.

Could you be a professional mentor?
We are currently looking for professional mentors who are willing to work with our students, help their personal development and allow them to discover their true potential. As a mentor you would be able to offer them support as they develop their section of the policy, through the use of this website. By posting blog entries you would guide students towards their goal. As a possible expert in the field you may also be able to offer further knowledge and experiences through off site visits and face to face meetings with the students.
